GIG Gulf is the Gulf business of Gulf Insurance Group (GIG). It was formerly AXA Gulf: GIG bought AXA's Gulf insurance business and renamed it GIG Gulf. Many people in Dubai still have health plans or cards that carry the AXA name.
What your card may show
Your card may show GIG, GIG Gulf or, on older cards, AXA. Some plans are managed by a claims administrator, whose name may also appear.

We check your dental cover with GIG (AXA) before treatment.
You pay only your co-payment, if any. We send the claim.
Approvals for dental treatment
Check-ups, cleaning and simple fillings often need no approval. Larger treatments such as root canals, crowns, surgical extractions and orthodontics often need approval from GIG (AXA) first. We send the request for you and tell you what is approved, and what you would pay, before treatment starts.
What GIG (AXA) plans often include
Dental cover is different on every plan. Many plans include check-ups, cleaning, fillings and extractions; some include root canals and crowns; braces and whitening are often not covered or have limits. Send us a photo of your card and we will tell you what your plan includes before you book.
